A Study on the Evolution of Urban Residential and Employment Spatial Structure using Multi-fractal Analysis:A Case Study of Wuhan City
This paper studies the evolutionary characteristics of urban living and working spaces based on the multi-fractal analysis of flow data and captures the global and local struc-tural characteristics of commuting flow distribution in urban space based on the multi-fractal properties of commuting flows. This method is applied to study the evolution of urban living and working spaces in Wuhan from 2018 to 2021,and finds that the living and working spaces in Wuhan tend to be multi-centered from 2018 to 2019,but the evolution trend of urban living and working spaces was affected by the pandemic from 2019 to 2021.Through on-site verification in Wuhan, the effectiveness of the multi-fractal analysis in extracting in-formation about the evolution of flow data can be verified.
