"UP Program":Innovation and Practice in Improving the Comprehensive Quality of Undergraduate Students at Financial Universities
With the transformation of the new economy and new busi-ness mode and the change and reshaping of the finance and economics field,professionals in finance and economics are required to change their roles to composite talents,and thus put higher standards for the comprehensive quality of college students.As an application-oriented discipline,finance and economics majors focus on the cultivation of"academics"and are in lack of training in practical ability,which make it easy to fall into the mis-guidance of utilitarianism and functionalism.Through the innovative practice of"UP Program",the International College at Jiangxi University of Fi-nance and Economics integrates social resources.Under the guidance of the top-level designs in the four modules:integrity,character,knowledge,love;and with the carriers of interactive classes,practical classes and pub-lic classes,the"UP Program"has initiated three modes,namely,one mentor for one class mode,hand-to-hand coaching mode and tailored plan for excellent students mode,as well as a mutual beneficial sharing mode.Up Program explores a new path to improve the comprehensive quality of students at financial universities.
