An Approach to Cultivating University Foreign Language Talents under the Background of New Liberal Arts:From a Teacher-Student Community Perspective
The construction of new liberal arts in the new era has put forward new goals and requirements for the cultivation of foreign language talents,scientific research and social services in universities.Based on the requirements of reflecting the needs of the times,conforming to the law of education,relying on information technology,and showing the characteris-tics of the institutions,this paper proposes a model of cultivating foreign language talents at universities from a teacher-student community perspec-tive and a concrete example of its realization.This model,with moral edu-cation as its core,accentuates the overarching importance of humanistic values and feelings as well as the supportive role of education for societal de-mands.It is well informed by the concepts of problem-oriented project-driv-en learning for teacher-student co-creation of knowledge and teacher-student partnership in and out of classrooms through the integration of differ-ent disciplines and the application of information technology.The proposed integrated model is aimed at cultivating outstanding foreign language talents with national sentiment,global vision,innovative spirit and critical think-ing ability.
