Analysis on the Development Process of Accounting Discipline at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics(1917-2021)
The history of Shanghai University of Finance and Econom-ics originated from the business specialization department founded by Nan-jing Higher Normal School in the autumn of 1917,and the accounting disci-pline also started here.In September 1921,seven departments including the accounting department were established at Shanghai University of Com-merce.Over the past more than 100 years,the development of the account-ing discipline has roughly gone through the following four stages:imitating the European and American systems and establishing the accounting disci-plines;hiring famous teachers to teach and the discipline achieving a solid foundation;merging multiple schools and departments and the discipline re-alizing strength improvement;insisting on reform and innovation and leading the further development of the discipline.The development experience of the accounting discipline mainly focuses on the construction of teaching staff,insisting on reform and innovation,insisting on linking theory with practice,insisting on international perspective,and attaching importance to scientific research and social service.
