Power Supply Technology in Ultra-High Temperature MWD System
Ultra-high temperature measuring instrument while drilling requires underground power supply with characteristics such as high reliability, high temperature resistance, and small volume. At present, there are no mature products in China. This paper introduces a design scheme for a downhole stabilized power supply module, which is based on a non-isolated DC converter with interleaved parallel BUCK topology. The power supply uses CISSOID's CHT-MAGMA high temperature resistant pulse width modulator as the main control chip. The push-pull driver is used to amplify the power of pulse-width modulation logic level, and then the power transistor is isolated and driven by a pulse transformer to ensure that the two interleaved driving pulses can drive the reliable conduction and cutoff of the power MOSFET and realize efficient power conversion. The results show that the conversion efficiency of the power module reaches over 86%in the full temperature range, which can better meet the power supply requirements of drilling instruments in ultra-high temperature environments downhole.
