Method and Experimental Study for Polarity Detection of Coil Systems in Three-Dimensional Induction Logging Tool
The three-component induction coil system is the core part of the three-dimensional induction tool, and thecorrect polarity detection is the necessary step to ensure the correct measurement of the three-dimensional induction tool. In order to solve the problem of time-consuming and laborious polarity detection of the coil system of three-dimensional induction tool, a method of polarity detection of the coil system of three-dimensional induction tool using amplitude and phase is proposed in this paper. The response characteristics of moving transmitting antenna are simulated numerically by finite element software, and the amplitude variation curves of response signals with different connection methods are obtained. At the same time, the phase shift characteristics of the signal processing circuit at different frequencies are simulated. On this basis, the corresponding test device and test method are proposed. Experiments show that the amplitude and phase detection methods can accurately judge the polarity of each component coil. The results have been successfully applied in three-dimensional induction tool, and can also be applied to other induction tools. The application results show that it can improve the efficiency of three-dimensional coil polarity detection and the consistency of coil fabrication process.
