Research on the In-Depth Interpretation of Measured Pressure Data During Fluid Sampling with Dual Packers
Dual packer is a kind of formation test pressure measurement sampling tool, the sampling process usually needs to be pumped for several hours or even more than ten hours to obtain formation fluid samples and pressure/flow rate data, but it can't truly reflect the detection range of formation permeability. In this paper, the reservoir simulation software is used to simulate the pumping process of dual packer, and two pressure/flow data deconvolution algorithm(Schroeter algorithm and Levitan algorithm)are introduced to invert the permeability parameter radius from a few centimeters to hundreds of meters.Numerical simulation cases are used to validate the accuracy and reasonableness of the method of deconvolution using only the final pressure and flow data after the completion of the sampling. This study was applied to the dual packer oilfield logging data to obtain a permeability detection radius of 31 m by using the deconvolution method, which can be used for production capacity prediction, and is of great significance for the correct understanding of the reservoir.
