The reconceptualization of wilderness in contemporary Anglo-American nature writing within the context of the Anthropocene manifests in the following aspects:Thematically,the reconceptualization of wilderness in con-temporary nature writing demonstrates a significant feature of the material turn.Methodologically,it manifests the"transcorporeality"or"interconnectedness"between humans and non-humans,as well as cross-regional and cross-cultural conversations.In terms of dissemination,it adopts an intercommunicative approach of"going public"and"coming from public".These three dimensions are explicitly demonstrated in the cutting-edge research of arboreal ecocriticism.The reconceptualization of wilderness signifies a humanistic concern in contemporary nature writing that directly addresses the current environmental crisis.The construction of multiple cultures on wilderness view is expected to provide new solutions to global environmental challenges.
