Carbon content prediction at blowing end-point of converter with off-gas analysis
The carbon content of bath is predicted from off-gas analysis in blowing process, and the relations of carbon content at end-point with decarbonization rate and lance position are investigated arriving at the following conclusions: (1) the end-point carbon content can predict by carbon integral model only at such situation that reliable data of the input raw materials are available; (2) At the final blowing stage, the relation between carbon content and decarbonization rate can be described by cubic function; (3) In order to eliminate the influence of lance position, the cubic model parameters are adjusted at different lance position when the pressure of oxygen is constant, and thus the high, medium, and low carbon contents at end-point can all be predicted.
