Effect of furnace charging methods on the scale fracture defect of BN1TL stainless steel
ABAQUS software was used to analyze the heating process of BN1TL stainless steel in the walking heatingfurnace, and JMatPro software was used to simulate and calculate the solidification of BN1TL continuous casting slab in the equilibrium state, and draw the solidification phase diagram. The precipitation behavior with different charging methods was studied and the precipitation phase was characterized. The results show that the number of grain boundary carbides gradually increases with the decrease of temperature during the solidification process of the continuous casting slab;in the early stage of heating,a large thermal stress is generated in the edge region of the slab, and the combined effect of thermal shock and grain boundary weakening decreases the quality of the edge of the slab. The difference is that the edge stress concentration and grain boundary weakening degree of cold charging are greater than those of hot charging, which is the fundamental reason for the higher scale defect rate of cold charging than hot charging. In addition, after the plate processed by cold charging is coiled, the number of grain boundary carbides is still large, which may also affect the subsequent process stages such as cold rolling.
