Effect of front box melt temperature on microstructure and properties of 8011 aluminum alloy cast-rolling plate blank
In order to steadily improve the quality of cast-rolling plate blank for double zero aluminum foil,8011aluminum alloy cast-rolling plate blank with 7.0 mm×1300 mm was produced by directly using electrolytic aluminum liquid. The effects of different front box aluminum melt temperatures ( 680,690,700,710℃) on the microstructure and mechanical properties of 8011 aluminum alloy cast-rolling plate blank were studied optical microscope ( OM ),scanning electron microscope ( SEM) and electronic universal tensile testing machine. The results show that the melt temperature of the front box,the grain size of the cast-rolling plate blank increase and then grows rapidly. The tensile strength and elongation after fracture both decrease slowly at first and then sharply. When the current box melt temperature is controlled at 680~700℃,the cast-rolling plate blank with better comprehensive mechanical properties can be obtained, its average longitudinal tensile strength and transverse tensile strength are not less than 141.87 MPa and 138.84 MPa,the average elongation after longitudinal fracture and transverse fracture is not less than 29.8% and 26.4%.
