Numerical simulation and testing of magnetic field in 400 kA graphite cathode aluminum electrolysis cell
A graphitized cathode aluminum electrolyzer model was created using SOLID WORKS software, and the magnetic field in it was simulated using COMSOL simulation software. At the same time, the magnetic field test was carried out on a graphitized cathode aluminum electrolysis cell of 400 kA in an aluminum plant, and the test results were compared and analyzed with the simulation results. The analysis results show that the average error of magnetic induction intensity between the simulated measurement point and the field test point in the X direction is 0.27 mT.The average error of magnetic induction intensity between the simulated measurement point and the field test point in the X direction is 0.20 mT.The average error of magnetic induction intensity between the simulated measurement point and the field test point in the Y direction is 0.36 mT.The average error of magnetic induction intensity between the simulated measurement point and the field test point in the Y direction is 0.20 mT.The average error of magnetic induction intensity between the simulated measurement point and the field test point in the Z direction is 0.29 mT,and the average error of magnetic induction intensity between the simulated measurement point and the field test point in the Z direction is 0.22 mT.The error between the simulation results and the test results is small, and the test data basically coincide with each other, which shows that it is feasible to use the numerical simulation software to conduct the magnetic field test.
