Effect of metal additions on properties of(85Cu-15Ni)/TiN/NiFe2O4 composite inert anode
(85Cu-15Ni)/TiN/NiFe2O4 composite inert anode materials were prepared by two-step sintering method. The effects of metal additions(mass fraction)on the density, bending strength, thermal shock resistance, corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity of the composite inert anode materials were studied. The results showed that the properties(namely density, bending strength and thermal shock resistance)of the composite inert anode material firstly increased and then decreased with the increase of 85Cu-15Ni metal addition. When the metal addition was 10%,the composite inert anode material possessed the best comprehensive with a minimum porosity of 2.86%and a maximum bulk density of 4.96 g/cm3.The maximum bending strength was 90.76 MPa,and the residual strength rate was 88.61%.In a certain range, adding metal phase can improve the density and grain boundary bonding strength of composite. As a result, the strength, thermal shock resistance, corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity of the materials were improved effectively.
