Effect of MgO content on the properties of CaO-MgO-Al2O3-TiO2-SiO2-Fe2O3 slag system
In order to maximize the utilization of vanadium titanomagnetite resources, the melting temperature, viscosity, surface tension and density of the slag were measured by taking the CaO-MgO-Al2O3-TiO2-SiO2-Fe2O3 six component slag system as the research object, and the transition relationship between slag properties and its composition was analyzed by combining the phase composition of the slag series. The results show that w(MgO)has a great influence on the performance of the slag, and when w(MgO)is 11.08%under high temperature conditions, the melting temperature and viscosity of the slag are low,and the fluidity is good. The surface tension and density are appropriate, and the slag is not easy to foam. The product phase is MgTi2O5 phase, which is suitable for acid extraction of titanium.
