Research on the mechanism of computing power new quality productivity on the growth of total factor productivity
As a new quality productivity in the era of digital economy, computing power is of great importance in empowering the new growth of the digital economy and promoting the high-quality development of the digital economy.Computer power is characterized by its commonality, externality, network performance and iterative nature.Based on these characteristics, the connection between network spillover effect of new computing power and total factor productivity(TFP)as well as its mechanism of action are studied. The panel stochastic frontier analysis is used to measure the total factor productivity, and it is found that the new quality productivity of computing power has a significant promoting effect on the total factor productivity, which comes from the promotion effect of the new quality productivity of computing power on the efficiency and scale efficiency of digital technology. The new quality productivity of inter-provincial individuals can have a significant positive network spillover effect on the total factor productivity of other provinces associated with it in terms of geography, economy, and population.Studies have shown that:(1)The network spillover effect of new computing power productivity can significantly promote the growth of total factor productivity by improving the quantity and quality of innovation;(2)the spillover effect of the new productivity network of computing power can also promote the growth of total factor productivity by alleviating the mismatch of computing power investment and digital skills and labor;(3)the quantity network of computing infrastructure and the quality network of computing infrastructure are heterogeneous when promoting the growth of total factor productivity through innovation. This paper innovatively expands the theoretical research on the impact of the new quality productivity of computing power on the growth of total factor digital productivity under the background of digital economy, and provides a useful reference for the government to formulate digital economy policies.
