Research on the influence of network density and knowledge distance among industry-university-research institutes on the performance of dual innovation
The network model of industry-university-research collaborative innovation is of great importance to the improvement of regional innovation performance. In order to explore the cross regional industry university research collaborative innovation network mechanism,a collaborative innovation network of"Chengdu Chongqing Double City Economic Circle"is constructed based on the data of science and technology progress awards and patent data of Chongqing and Sichuan province from 2011 to 2020.The negative binomial regression model is used to explore the relationship between the knowledge distance, network density and the performance of exploratory and applied innovation. The results show that the knowledge distance among universities, scientific research institutions and enterprises is heterogeneous and has an impact on the performance of dual innovation. The knowledge distance between enterprises is negatively correlated with the performance of applied innovation;the knowledge distance between enterprises and universities is U-shaped with the performance of applied innovation;the knowledge distance between universities and enterprises is positively correlated with the performance of exploratory innovation, and the knowledge distance between universities is negatively correlated with the performance of exploratory innovation.Scientific research institutions have no significant impact on the performance of dual innovation in the process of industry-university-research collaborative innovation.Network density is negatively correlated with the performance of applied innovation, and has no significant impact on the performance of exploratory innovation. The research can provide reference for the selection of regional industry-university-research collaborative innovation partners.
