A fusion algorithm for underwater polarization image enhancement
To fulfill the requirements of achieving high-quality imaging in underwater optical detection,this paper introduces a methodology based on active polarization imaging.It integrates a histogram equalization defog algorithm,a Laplace Pyramid algorithm,and a single underwater image fusion enhancement strategy.The histogram equalization defog algorithm enhances local contrast,while the Laplace Pyramid algorithm preserves detailed feature information across layers.The underwater image fusion enhancement algorithm amalgamates the strengths of different images,effectively mitigating underwater color distortion,low contrast,and uneven illumination.Our quantitative experiments demonstrate the algorithm's efficacy in addressing these challenges and enhancing the overall visual quality of the images.
