Analysis of nonlinear growth rate population competition models with delays
To study a class of dynamical models in which two populations with time lag and nonlinear growth rates compete with each other, the existence and stability of the equilibrium point of the system are discussed when the delay is zero. Then, the effect of the time lag on the stability of the equilibrium point is determined and the conditions that generate the Hopf branching are derived. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted to verify our results.
