Inter-regional Differences and Coordination of Migrant Population Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Construction in the Digital Economy Era
Based on the spatial econometric model and the coordination development index method, this paper empirically analyzes inter-regional differences and coordination of migrant population entrepreneurship ecosystem of 31 provinces in China from 2000 to 2022.The results indicate that the migrant population entrepreneurship ecosystem index is higher in east, usually coastal provinces than west, usually inland ones, presenting a significant spatial autocorrelation and spillover effect.Additionally, the digital economy index is proved to have positive and significant influences on the migrant population entrepreneurship ecosystem. Its four subsystems, namely, supply, demand, resources, and environment subsystems, all have positive and significant impacts on the coordination development index,in particular the environmental factor. In return, the coordination development index positively and significantly affects the quality and benefits of migrant population entrepreneurship.Based on these findings, several policy suggestions are proposed,i.e.increasing investment and support for the digital economy, enhancing regional coordination and cooperation for migrant population entrepreneurship, and optimizing and improving environment for migrant population entrepreneurship.
