Reflections on the modern inheritance of the revolutionary legacy of the Communist Party of China
The revolutionary legacy,which is embedded in the context of the Chinese people in general and the CPC in particular,integrates the triple"genes"of the excellent traditional Chinese culture,the revolutionary culture of the CPC,and the new socialist culture,and is a valuable spiritual wealth gradually accumulated by the CPC under the leadership of the Chinese people in the historical process of revolution,construction,and reform.The modern Chinese history since the founding of the CPC represents the specific historical context in which the revolutionary legacy was generated and devel-oped,which to some extent demonstrates the historical significance of the CPC members'inheritance of the legacy.Ex-amining the origin and development,the source of the revolutionary legacy,as well as its survival status from the per-spective of the materialist viewpoint of history is a key point in interpreting the ins and outs of the revolutionary legacy in the new era.The distinctive attributes and characteristics of the revolutionary legacy,such as stability and development,the main ways of inheritance,such as internal inheritance and external propaganda,and its intrinsic value have answered the realistic proposition of how the revolutionary legacy can be inherited in the new era from different aspects.In the new era,the basic principle that all sectors of society should adhere to is to start from the actual foundation of inheriting the revolutionary legacy and to realize its due goal in a gradual and orderly manner.The red resources distributed all over the country are both the carrying entities of the revolutionary legacy and the realistic textbooks for the interpretation of the revolutionary legacy.Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the educational and guiding function of red resources,and make good use of red resources through development and protection in order to strengthen the foundation of inheritance.It is also necessary to choose precise inheritance methods,integrate the revolutionary legacy into school education,and de-velop new forms of revolutionary legacy in order to enhance the effectiveness of inheritance.It is also necessary to take the creation of a favorable social climate as the starting point,and to contribute to the effective transmission of the revolution-ary legacy through the strengthening of institutional mechanisms.
