With the advent of the post-highly active anti-retroviral therapy(HAART)era,AIDS has become a chronic infectious disease requiring long-term management, but the persistence of HIV viral replication and immuno-inflammatory stimuli can lead to the comorbidity of AIDS with other chronic diseases, such as AIDS with chronic kidney disease(CKD).In recent years, more and more studies have shown that metabolic reprogramming is closely related to AIDS and CKD,which involves mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation and glycolysis, and is essential for maintaining metabolic homeostasis in the body, and may be involved in the progression of kidney injury in AIDS.However, there are limited studies on the relationship between metabolic reprogramming and renal injury in AIDS.Therefore, this article reviews the progress of metabolic reprogramming in renal injury in AIDS,with the aim of providing new therapeutic strategies for the survival and health of patients with renal injury in AIDS.
