Design Essentials of Self-anchored Suspension Bridge for Hongtang Bridge
Located in the western suburbs of Fuzhou,crossing Wulong River,Hongtang Bridge is required to widen and reconstruct on its original location.The new main bridge is a self-anchored suspension bridge.Based on the requirements of people's livelihood to ensure open traffic during the construction period,the design scheme of three-stage transverse assembling construction is proposed.The self-anchored suspension bridge is built in China which realized the aim of open traffic in the reconstruction project.The flat curved anchoring scheme of the main cable is firstly put forward to improve the management and maintenance conditions of anchorage zone of the main cable.The finite element programs are used to simulate and analyze the key processes in the operation and construction periods of the bridge.Based on the analysis results,the construction and control are guided.The site monitoring data shows that the calculated values are consistent with the measured values.
