Research on Asphalt Pavement Rutting of Steel Bridge Deck
The problem of rutting on the asphalt pavement of steel bridge deck is becoming increasingly prominent and cannot be ignored.Based on the research status and development trend of rutting on asphalt pavement of steel bridge deck in recent years,a detailed analysis and summary of the rut types and formation mechanism,rut prediction research and main influencing factors of rut on steel bridge deck asphalt pavement are carried out.The result shows that compared with the asphalt pavement,the rutting of the asphalt pavement layer of steel bridge deck is mainly fluid rut caused by insufficient shear resistance of the material,and the rut formation mechanism of different pavement materials is different.In the research of rut prediction,the finite element method using Bailey-Norton and modified Burgers creep model to characterize the nonlinear behavior of pavement materials at high temperature has achieved certain results,but there are many improvements.The excellent rutting resistance pavement structures with"upper epoxy+lower pouring"and"upper SMA+lower pouring"as the mainstream have been formed in China.The most important factors affecting the development of rutting on the pavement layer are the properties of the pavement material,the structure of the pavement layer,the temperature,the vehicle load and the construction quality.Therefore,optimizing the design of paving materials and structures,strictly controlling the heavy overloaded vehicles,and improving the quality of construction processes should be important measures to delay the development of rutting on the paving layer in the future.The research results can provide the reference for anti-rutting design and post maintenance of steel bridge deck pavement.
