Calculation and Analysis of Different Standard Parking Sight Distances at Home and Abroad
With more and more Chinese engineering enterprises going overseas,strengthening the comparative analysis and research of domestic and foreign norms and standards is crucial to the smooth implementation of the projects.Taking the highway design project in Tanzania as an example,the differences and similarities of Chinese,Tanzanian and American standards in parking sight distance calculation and parameter value are compared and analyzed.A stopping sight distance analysis method based on standard minimum clear transverse distance is proposed for the projects of Tanzania.Through the comparative analysis of several measures to improve the visual distance,the protective measures for the road section with bad visual distance curve are put forward,which are used to guide the graphic design of the project route and provide reference for domestic and foreign highway designers.
