[Objective]Train slipping incident frequently oc-curs in elevated sections of Shanghai rail transit. When the train slips, the onboard signaling equipment will interrupt the train signal pattern output, then drivers need to manually oper-ate the train at a slow speed to re-establish a usable signal pat-tern.This significantly affects the operational quality of various lines, making it necessary to thoroughly investigate the causes of train slipping and propose corresponding measures.[Method]By gathering and comparing data related to train slipping events,a detailed analysis is conducted on factors such as season, temperature, weather, time period, signaling sys-tem logic for detecting train slipping, track gradients and curves, and train braking methods.Adverse factors contribu-ting to train slipping incidents in elevated sections are summa-rized,and targeted prevention measures and improvement plans are formulated.[Result & Conclusion]Adverse factors lead-ing to train slipping in elevated sections include rainy and snowy weather, cold seasons, frequent braking, steep gradi-ents and sharp curves on elevated lines,as well as train disc braking methods. The cumulative impact of these factors can easily cause train slipping in elevated sections.Implementing wet track mode and special speed limits in advance can slightly reduce the occurrence of train slipping, but may slow down the train travel speed and should be used judiciously. The actual situation on Line 9 indicates that optimizing the signaling sys-tem onboard software algorithm can effectively mitigate the im-pact of train slipping.
