Overview of Design Methods for Re-configurable Acoustic Signal Decomposition Filter Banks
The digital hearing aid system requires the use of acoustic signal decomposition filter banks to achieve loudness compensation function. Due to their controllable subband distribution, re-configurable filter banks can provide high-quality loudness compensation for different types of patients suffering hearing loss. Given this, their research and design have received widespread attention. There are various design methods for re-configurable filter banks, with each displaying its own characteristics in terms of overall structure and technical means. This article comprehensively analyzes and compares the existing design methods of re-configurable filter banks from the aspects of technical means, overall structure, and functional performance, etc., and provides prospects for future development directions.
