A Literature Review of Bronze Weapon Research:With Comments on A Study on the Naming of Bronze Weapons in the Western and Eastern Zhou Dynasties
Great achievements have been made in bronze weapon research in areas of inscription and artifact shape,as well as in those of ancient history related to state,chronology and bureaucratic system and inscription style. In this paper,the current status of bronze weapon studies are comprehensively reviewed and problems thereof identified,followed by comments on A Study on the Naming of Bronze Weapons in the Western and Eastern Zhou Dynasties,a major work in bronze weapon research.
