Progress of Research on the Correlation between Extracellular Vesicles and Ovarian Cancer Metastasis,Diagnosis and Treatment
Ovarian Cancer(OC)is a malignant tumor that occurs in the pelvic cavity of women. Its clinical treatment effect is not ideal, its prognosis is not ideal, and its resulting mortality rate is extremely high.Exosomes,as carriers of intercellular information and genetic material transmission, are widely present in various bodily fluids of the body.According to the latest research, since extracellular vesicles are closely related to the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer, widely involved in the formation of the tumor microenvironment, regulation of ovarian cancer cell metastasis and tumor angiogenesis, they can be used as potential biomarkers, therapeutic targets, and drug carriers for ovarian cancer in clinical practice. This article reviews the biological functions of extracellular vesicles and their role in the metastasis, diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer,in order to provide new theoretical basis for further research on the pathogenesis of ovarian cancer and improve its clinical treatment.
