Can Labor Mobility Alleviate Rural Household Financial Vulnerability?——An Empirical Analysis Based on Social Network Perspective
The paper uses data from the China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)to study the impact of labor mobility on the financial vulnerability of rural households in China. The research results indicate that labor mobility has a significant miti-gating effect on the financial vulnerability of rural households, and this result remains robust even after changing the esti-mation methods of the model and the measurement method of the core indicators. The results of heterogeneity analysis indi-cate that labor mobility has a greater mitigating effect on the financial vulnerability of households in northern regions, low human capital households, and elderly households.Further analysis reveals that labor mobility has a greater alleviating ef-fect on the financial vulnerability of low social network rural households in dimensions such as kinship, parental endow-ment,external identity, and social status.
