Perception of Risk and Commercial Health Insurance Participation
Using the China Household Finance Survey data,this paper analyzes the impact of perception of risk on the commercial health insurance participation from different aspects.The results show that risk perception has significantly in-creased the probability and degree of new participation in household commercial health insurance.The moderating effects of risk attitude in the relationship between the two are heterogeneous.The positive moderating effect of risk aversion is sig-nificant for the risk perception of hospitalization among family members,but this moderating effect is not significant for the risk perception of household head's self-rated health changes with stronger subjective levels.
