Activity-Based Models and Other Selected Research Topics
A literature review of selected articles from international academic journals is presented to sum-marize research findings, theoretical approaches, and empirical analysis of urban transportation. The aim is to enhance the communication between industrial and academic fields of urban transportation, highlight in-ternational research focuses, and promote academic exchange. This issue includes two papers:The paper"Activity-based Model Based on Long-Short Term Memory Network and Mobile Phone Signalling Data"proposes a new travel activity model framework based on long-short term memory network. The model framework can directly analyze individual travel behavior preference according to the detailed travel infor-mation identified by mobile phone signaling data, with lower information demand such as socio-economic attributes and activity types, and at the same time can well predict time-related information with better sta-bility. The paper"Aggregated Zero-Knowledge Proof and Blockchain-Empowered Authentication for Au-tonomous Truck Platooning"proposes an aggregated and efficient zero-knowledge proof method for priva-cy-preserving identity verification in a mixed fleet truck platooning environment, utilizing a permissioned blockchain network. This method is capable of executing identity verification in milliseconds and, com-pared to a single zero-knowledge proof design, the aggregated and efficient zero-knowledge authentication system offers enhanced security and superior performance.
