Traffic Organization in Mountainous Areas for Large Sports Events
Traffic organization in mountainous areas for large sports events faces greater challenges com-pared to that in urban areas.Specific measures and scientifically efficient organizational methods should be adopted to ensure the effective transportation operation during the events.This paper presents an analysis of the transportation service groups and support needs for large sports events,outlining the development process of traffic organization plan key contents.This includes analyzing event service requirements,as-sessing the traffic operating environment of the event area,calculating transportation support needs,devel-oping traffic organization plans,and designing traffic operating routes.Further,the paper explores the traf-fic characteristics and service challenges in mountainous areas for large sports events.The paper proposes to formulate traffic organization strategies based on the fundamental conditions of the event area.These strategies include setting up remote parking and transfer zones on the periphery of the event area to achieve remote transfer and connection;establishing dedicated bus lines for the events to enhance service capacity;providing various transportation services based on the residential characteristics of the service groups;developing emergency plans and performing pre-event safety testing to achieve the goals of safe,convenient,and reliable transportation services in mountainous event areas.
