[Objective]In order to pass the assessment and acceptance of the eradication of equine infectious anemia in Xinjiang by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs,meet the eradication standards and to achieve the goal of eradication of equine infectious anemia,the equine animals in Hejing County of Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture and Zhaosu County of Yili Prefecture were randomly detected and verified.[Methods]According to the industry standard "Method of AGAR Gel Immunodiffusion Test for Equine Infectious Anemia" (NY/T569-2002),the antibodies of equine infectious anemia were detected by AGAR gel immunodiffusion test.[Results]130 and 110 serum samples were randomly collected from Hejing County and Zhaosu County,respectively. The detection results showed that,the samples were all negative,indicating that equine animals from Hejing County and Zhaosu County were not infected by equine infectious anemia.[Conclusion]Xinjiang had reached the standard of eradicating equine infectious anemia and realized the goal of eradicating the disease.
