[Objective]The high-quality development of animal husbandry is an important component of agricultural modernization,and also an important way to promote rural revitalization and increase farmers' income.[Methods]Literature analysis and statistical analysis methods were used to analyze the development status of animal husbandry in Hotan Prefecture,identify the problems in high-quality development of animal husbandry,so as to propose corresponding policy recommendations.[Results]The problems in development of animal husbandry in Hotan Prefecture were analyzed from the aspects of the incomplete breeding system for livestock and poultry,the imperfect supply system for feed and forage,the prominent supply-demand contradiction of meat products,the weak system of"close contact with farmers and drive them to increase their income"of the operation main body of animal husbandry,and the imperfect support conditions for the development of animal husbandry. Then policy recommendations were proposed to optimize and improve the breeding system for superior breeds of livestock and poultry,strengthen the construction of feed and forage supply system,enhance the supply capacity of animal products and market system construction,strengthen the leading and driving role of leading enterprises,and to improve the support capacity for the development of animal husbandry industry.[Conclusion]Exploring policy recommendations for the high-quality development of animal husbandry in Hotan Prefecture had important practical significance for promoting rural revitalization,promoting economic developmen,optimizing agricultural industry structure,and increasing farmers' income.
