Research on the Facade Design of Historical and Cultural Blocks from the Regional Perspective:A Case of Laomendong in Nanjing
Historical and cultural blocks reflect the regional culture of an area, and the regional characteristics of the area can be revealed through the overall layout, plane, facade and other aspects of the historical and cultural blocks. This paper takes Nanjing Laomentong historical and cultural district as an example, based on Nanjing regional culture, analyzes the façade design methods of the building from six aspects of the composition, color, materials and other aspects of building façade, and explores the embodiment of regional culture in the façade of historical and cultural block. The analysis shows that the façade of Laomendong is designed in combination with local cultural and historical conditions and natural environment characteristics. The facade design of historical and cultural block should combine the corresponding design methods with the above two points to reflect its regional characteristics. The relevant conclusions can provide theoretical basis for the facade design of historical and cultural blocks.
