The Conceptual Design of Public Dance Space Promoting Intergenerational Integration:A Case of Three Gorges Square
Intergenerational harmony is a necessary condition for establishing a harmonious society, and the space that promotes intergenerational integration has also received increasing attentions.Taking Chongqing Three Gorges Square as the design object, this paper investigates and classifies the generation groups and activities of this site, and summarizes the commonalities of their behavior patterns. This paper takes dance as the design clue, uses the Mobius rings as the design language, and takes the promotion of intergenerational integration as the design goal.Based on public space design principles, such as connectivity, convenience, and complexity, which can promote intergenerational sharing, this paper proposes design strategies, such as opening up space separation, enriching space dimensions, and increasing interactive facilities. The research results can provide a certain reference for the design of urban public space promoting intergenerational integration.
