Summary of Urban Renewal in the Process of Urban Development:A Case of the Practice of Chengdu
Since the reform and opening-up,Chinese cities have been developing rapidly and have changed from"incremental era"to a new stage of"inventory evolution"entirely.Urban renewal has become a new consensus for urban development in the industry.Through sorting out the urban renewal practices of major cities in China,and reviewing its evolution process,the paper combs the current status of urban renewal in Chengdu,explores the main factors driving urban renewal,and prospects the role of urban renewal in the integration of the"old and new"in the future.
