Multiple Definitions and Analysis of Building Height
Building height is an important technical and economic indicator to measure the scale of a building,which can be defined as"the vertical length of a building from the bottom to the top"in the simplest terms.But in practice,for the same building,the building height calculated by different disciplines is different.Based on the basic concept of building height,this paper analyzes the purpose of calculating building height in architecture discipline,fire protection discipline,structure discipline and urban planning.According to the relevant codes and regulations of each discipline,this paper analyzes the"bottom"and"top"of buildings defined by different disciplines in calculating building height,and finally summarizes the main differences and interrelations among different disciplines in calculating building height.
