The Architect's"Craftsman","Philosophy","Confucianism"and"Art"
The professional subdivision of the construction industry and the rapid development of digital technology are the background and source for the collective anxiety of the architects.Starting from the historical context,this paper reviews the process of seeking the professional identity of architects.While constantly summing up and adapting to new technologies,the traditional craftsmen have integrated into the literati society and entered the official career.While competing for the right to speak in the industry,they have also realized the awakening of the architect's professional consciousness and separated the architect from the artisan group.The"digital craftsman"in the information age seems to blur the professional boundaries of architects.The traditional"craftsman,philosophy,Confucianism,and art"need to be given new meanings to strengthen the professional confidence and to expand professional perspectives.
