Study on the Evolution and Spatial Characteristics of the Urban Pattern of Daizhou Ancient City in Shanxi
Daizhou Ancient City,recognized as one of the third batch of National Famous Historical and Cultural Cities in China,was once an important frontier town near Yanmen Pass.Through numerous military conflicts and cultural integrations,it has formed its unique pattern and spatial characteristics of the ancient city,witnessing the historical and cultural heritage of the ancient city.This paper meticulously sorts out the historical evolution of the pattern of the ancient city,and then deeply investigates the spatial characteristics of Daizhou Ancient City from three key dimensions:city walls,streets and alleys,and architecture.By means of literature research method and field survey mapping,this paper comprehensively reveals the historical context and cultural connotations of the spatial characteristics of Daizhou Ancient City.It provides robust theoretical support and practical guidance for the future protection,planning,and regeneration of the ancient city.
