Study on Disaster Prevention Ability of Historical and Cultural Block Based on Space Syntax:A Case of the East and West Lanes in Guilin City
The disaster prevention and safety of historical and cultural blocks is a concern about the safety of the people's lives and property. This paper takes the historical and cultural blocks in the east and west lanes in Guilin city as the research object, and conducts quantitative analysis on the historical and cultural blocks in the east and west lanes by combining the integration degree, connection value, and selection degree related with central axial model and line model in space syntax with the data of population flow and street width. It is concluded that there is large population flow, and high street accessibility, selection degree and connection value in the east lane, but narrow street width, which is not conducive to the passage of fire prevention facilities and population evacuation. There is small population flow, and relatively weak street accessibility, selection degree and connection value in the west lane, but wide street, which can guarantee the basic fire prevention and evacuation. In addition, there is relatively large difficulties in the fire prevention capabilities of the emergency shelter facilities within the east and west lanes. On this basis, this paper proposes the corresponding optimization and improvement strategy.
