Research Progress and Prospects of the TOD Model from the Perspective of Equity
In the traditional TOD model,although urban development has been promoted,social inequality issues caused by the rising land prices and other reasons have gradually emerged.ETOD,by emphasizing equity,aims to provide more affordable housing and convenient transportation services for low and middle-income groups.This paper explores the equity-oriented transportation development models and analyzes their research progress and application prospects both domestically and internationally.Through a systematic literature review and a synthesis of relevant literature at home and abroad,the paper identifies the research trends and gaps in the ETOD field.It focuses on the issues of housing and transportation equity under the ETOD model,and emphasizes the need to expand the scope of ETOD research to cover the environmental sustainability and universal design principles.The paper reveals ETOD's potential in addressing urban inequality.
