Research on the Design of Urban Pocket Parks Based on the Concept of Symbiosis and Sharing:A Case of"Tie",the Winning Works of 2023 Hebei Province Landscape and Greening Design Competition
The pocket park is a small urban open green space with functions of ecological protection,landscape appreciation,social entertainment and cultural display,etc.,and plays an important role in high-quality urban development.This paper takes"Tie-The Design for Canal Time Ribbon Theme Park",the winning works of Hebei Province Landscape and Greening Design Competition,as an example,selects an abandoned site in Cangzhou designated by the Competition as the base for pocket park,and then elaborates on the design plan from three aspects of planning layout,space creation and sustainable development based on the concept of symbiosis with nature and sharing with society under the theme of time ribbon by combining with the culture of the Great Canal.The design plan turns an abandoned field into an ecological and beautiful mini-park by a moving path connecting the landscape node through the site.It is hope that the above research results can provide a reference for the construction of urban pocket parks in the future.
