Comparative Study on the Boundary Space in Traditional Architectural Design of China and Japan
In architectural design,as an important concept,the boundary space has a profound influence on the spatial perception,cultural expression,and architectural aesthetics.This paper introduces the concept of boundary space and its importance in architectural design.It compares and analyzes the boundary space in traditional Chinese and Japanese architecture,and explores the characteristics,similarities and differences in the treatment techniques of the boundary space from three perspectives of eave spaces,courtyard spaces,and open spaces.The paper discusses and summarizes the cultural connotations and design values of boundary space in the traditional Chinese and Japanese architecture,aiming to provide a theoretical basis for the design of boundary spaces in modern architecture.
