As an important means of expanding urban space and meeting economic development needs,land reclamation projects have been widely used in coastal cities in China.However,the issue of soft foundation in land reclamation projects has always been a difficult problem for the engineers.Improper treatment of soft foundation can easily lead to problems such as foundation settlement and structural damage,seriously threatening the safety and stability of land reclamation projects.By using the method of enumeration,this paper analyzes the important significance of the vacuum assisted preloading packing method in soft foundation treatment of land reclamation projects.At the same time,it elaborates on the specific application of the vacuum assisted preloading packing method in soft foundation treatment of land reclamation projects,providing a safe,efficient,and economical soft foundation treatment method for land reclamation projects in China.
