Preliminary Report on the Evaluation of Natural Sericin Cocoon Varieties of Bombyx mori
Silk sericin,as a high-quality natural globular protein,holds considerable value for development and utilization,providing new avenues for the diversification of the sericulture industry.This study introduced three pairs of sericin cocoon varieties developed by the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences for comparative rearing and analysis of sericin quality.The results indicated that all three pairs of sericin cocoon varieties could adapt to rearing in the Tongxiang region,with two varieties,'Huaqiu×SC3Y'among others,achieving a sericin content of over 90%.This paper also discusses the rearing adaptability of the three pairs of sericin cocoon varieties,as well as the methods of sericin cocoon rearing and comprehensive development and utilization.
