Research Progress on the Regulatory Mechanism of Mpf Pathway During Oocyte Meiosis
In various economic animals and plants, there is a significant difference in economic value between male and female. However,in nature, the majority of organisms can maintain a basic balance in the number of female and male individuals. Therefore, artificial intervention in gender ratio has significant practical application significance.Maturation promoting factor(MPF)is the main promoter that regulates the recovery of oocyte meiosis.Studies have shown that MPF is a common trigger for the G2/M phase transition in all eukaryotic cells, and its function depends on the catalytic subunit Cdc2(cell division cycle 2)and the regulatory subunit CycB(cyclin B).An in-depth analysis of the upstream and downstream mechanisms of the MPF signaling pathway is of great significance for studying the regulatory mechanisms of meiosis.
