Correlation Analysis between Hematopoietic Organs and Biological Characteristics of Silkworm Larva
The haemocytes of silkworm are formed in hematopoietic organs and then released into circulating blood.Haemocytes play important roles not only in the dissociation of tissues and organs but also in the immune defense response to pathogens and foreign bodies that invade the body.In this article the relationship between functional destruction of the hematopoietic organs and development of silkworms were summarized. The correlation between the functional destruction of the hematopoietic organs and the biological characteristics of the larvae were also discussed, such as the number of free haemocytes in the blood, changes in the composition of blood proteins, and immune defense reactions of the larvae.
