The bony Bankart lesion is a special type of anterior glenoid rim fracture,following which the shoulder stability is often impaired by the existence of varying sizes of glenoid rim fracture fragments.In order to re-store the shoulder stability and function,surgical techniques,such as capsulolabral repair,single-or double-row su-ture anchor fixation,screw fixation,etc.,are often applied.Along with the deeper learning of bony Bankart lesions and the development of technology,several ingenious surgical strategies are emerging.The purpose of this article is to review literature focusing on surgical treatments of bony Bankart lesions that has been published in the past two decades and to summarize their indications,contraindications,advantages and disadvantages to give a foundation for clinical application and research.
