Ramp lesion(RL)refers to injuries at the posterior horn of the medial meniscus of the knee joint and the transitional area of the joint capsule.RL is common in patients with chronic anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)injuries and can also occur alone.The Ramp region plays an important role in maintaining knee function and protecting ACL reconstruction grafts.Knee MRI has a moderate sensitivity but a high specificity in the diagnosis of RL,while arthroscopy is the gold standard for its diagnosis.The understanding of RL is currently in a"re-learn-ing"stage,and its best treatment has been a hot topic in recent years.This article reviews the epidemiology,anato-my,mechanism,classification,diagnosis and surgical strategies of RL in recent years,in order to provide reference for the research,diagnosis and treatment of RL.
